mySanskar ("we", "our", "the app") is a devotional app for Hindu families, offering children's stories, music, and conversation starters rooted in Satsang values. The app is developed and operated by Ankit Patel.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use the app:

• Account information — your name and email address, collected via Google Sign-In when you create an account.
• Child profile — your child's name and age group, which you provide to personalize stories and conversation starters. This is stored securely and never shared.
• App usage data — stories you have read, songs you have played, playlists you create, and AI-generated stories saved to your account.
• Device information — basic device type used to ensure the app displays correctly. We do not collect device identifiers.

We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, microphone input, or any other sensitive device data.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To save and sync your child's profile and preferences across sessions
• To personalize the AI-generated Story of the Day for your child
• To remember which stories you have read (progress tracking)
• To save your custom playlists and AI-generated stories
• To authenticate your account securely via Google Sign-In

We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, or profiling.

4. Third-Party Services

mySanskar uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Google Firebase (Authentication & Firestore) — stores your account data and app content securely. Firebase Privacy Policy

• Google Gemini AI — generates personalized stories using your child's name and age. Only the child's name and a story topic are sent to generate content; no other personal data is transmitted. Google Privacy Policy

We do not use advertising networks, analytics trackers, or social media SDKs.

5. Children's Privacy

mySanskar is designed for children to use together with a parent or guardian. We take children's privacy seriously.

• Accounts are created by parents or guardians, not children directly.
• We collect a child's first name only to personalize stories. This name is stored securely in your private account and is never shared.
• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
• Parents may request deletion of all data associated with their account and child profile at any time by contacting us.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Google Firebase, hosted in secure Google Cloud data centers. Access is protected by Firebase Security Rules, ensuring only your authenticated account can read or write your personal data.

We do not store passwords — authentication is handled entirely by Google Sign-In.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request data deletion, we will remove your personal information and child profile from our systems within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Withdraw consent at any time by discontinuing use of the app
